Molinaro Group Adds HorsePower to Its Charitable Efforts

Molinaro Group has always valued the importance of Joseph Brant Hospital to the city of Burlington. That’s why they’ve consistently supported the hospital’s fundraising activities, including a $1million donation made in 2013 toward the hospital’s redevelopment and expansion fundraising campaign.

The Molinaro Group is once again prioritizing the hospital by partnering with Angelo Paletta and TNG Exotics & Limited Editions to present HorsePower 4 Hospital, on September 23. This is  a one-of-a-kind car show featuring more than 50 exotic and limited-edition vehicles.

It’s a free, family-friendly event running from 10 am to 2 pm, in front of the Art Gallery of Burlington. Last year’s event raised more than $144,000 in support of Joseph Brant Hospital, and the organizers hope to surpass this amount in 2023.

“Angelo and I are incredibly excited to be hosting this event in support of Joseph Brant Hospital,” said Vince Molinaro, President, Molinaro Group. “It will be a great day of fun for the whole family, an amazing showcase of horsepower, and it will all go toward a great cause that will positively impact our community.”

Molinaro Group has been involved in many endeavours that support the people of Burlington and its communities.

Growing Community at the Urban Farm

Molinaro Group has supported the growth of Urban Farm in downtown Burlington for the last three years. The community farm produces fresh vegetables and herbs that go toward local food charities, helping to ensure greater food security for members of the community. The Urban Farm produced more than 1,000 pounds of fresh produce last year, thanks to the efforts of the people who tend to the gardens.

Molinaro Group donated land and materials, including hay bales (in which the fruits and vegetables grow), a water pump, a sea can (or shipping container) for storage, and many other tools to help get the Urban Farm started and keep it thriving.

Beautifying Downtown, Wall by Wall

STEPS Public Art is a Canadian-based public art organization that uses unique art initiatives to promote dynamic, inclusive, and resilient communities. Its I HeArt Main Street program collaborates with Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) across Ontario to engage in public artist initiatives and paid artist opportunities that promote local culture, vibrant spaces, and main street recovery. Burlington’s downtown took part in the program with the installation of new murals that celebrate the community’s vibrancy and resilience.

The Molinaro Group sponsored the creation of four original murals throughout downtown Burlington. The most recent installation, located at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Lakeshore Road, comes from the well-known artist Kelsey Montague, and features five unique images from Burlington hidden within its design. Last year, Canadian artist Chris Perez, helped by Burlington’s Aiden Kenny, created a bright floral mural composition at 404 John Street, near the north of Lakeshore Road.

Building Care at Carpenter Hospice

In February 2023, following a three-year hiatus, the Carpenter Hospice Gala returned to the Burlington Convention Centre. The gala celebrated its 20th anniversary with a Paradise Island-themed event, which included a live steel band, as well as silent and live auctions packed with numerous amazing prizes.

Molinaro Group has donated more than $100,000 to the Carpenter Hospice over the years. Several members of the team attended the event, including Vince and Tina Molinaro, who participated in the live auction. The gala was a great success, raising more than $160,000 for the Carpenter Hospice.

The Carpenter Hospice provides residential-based care to people in the last stages of their lives, as well as community-based programs for people dealing with grief or a life-limiting illness. The hospice ensures that is residents spend their final days together with loved ones in a peaceful, comfortable, and meaningful environment. The Carpenter Hospice has been an integral part of Burlington since 2002, thanks to the donations of Molinaro Group and other generous benefactors.
