Construction Update: “Full Steam Ahead” – July 2022
Progress at Illumina in Burlington’s Downtown West neighbourhood is moving along quickly. In this July 2022 update Rob is at the very top of the Illumina, one of Burlington highest points, then to a fully drywalled suite where tile is being laid down, and then to a staging area where Illumina’s window are being prepped for installation.
Molinaro Grows Community with Urban Farm
The Molinaro Group’s bountiful collaboration with Bunchberry Connections netted over 800lbs of fresh produce last year (2021) for the Burlington Foodbank. With a new growing season well underway, Vince Molinaro recently toured the farm with Bunchberry CEO Adria Cehovin. On land provided by the Molinaro Group, Adria and her team are growing fresh food, and growing greater opportunities for a healthier more engaged community.

With summer here, Rob ventures to the very top of Illumina, in Burlington’s Downtown West neighbourhood, to highlight a landmark architectural feature. This month, Rob is on top of the (Illumina) world where he showcases how the Party Room and Panoramic Terrace will cap off this landmark Downtown West residence. Later, Rob heads down to the fifth floor where a major milestone is underway as the construction team is levelling floors to get ready for interior finishes. In this episode, Rob takes you on a quick tour of activity from the 17th floor as Illumina gets closer and closer to “topping off” at 21 stories. He also talks us through Illumina’s Energy Star designation. This is the very first high-rise residential building in Ontario to achieve this, which will lower energy costs for our residents and reduce Illumina’s overall carbon footprint.
